Lanner Carpet Bowls Club

The Lanner Carpet Bowls Club was formed in 1988 and has competed in the league competitions for many years. Ar present we have 31 members but unfortunately , due to illness and various commitments, numbers are showing signs of decreasing.

In the league this season proved to be the most successful for a number of years. As the photograph shows we therefore had numerous trophies to display. During the winter league season 2015/2016 Lanner carpet bowls club achieved promotion to higher divisions.

The Carnmarth tram were promoted from 3rd division to 2nd division. In the 4th division the Lanner Falcons team came first and move to division 3 now. Lanner Pennance team were second so also go to division 3.

Following this Lanner Pennance team played in the final of the knock out competition, which they succeeded in winning.

Six members playing in the Ted Smith League tournament Selwyn/Maviz/Maggie/Chris P/Keith Watts/Terry Farr were the winners for the second year running.

The clubs plays on Wednesday afternoons from 2pm-4pm and on Thursday evenings from 7pm-9pm, throughout the year (Except the month of August)
